Julie Robinson is the manager of compliance for Convergent Retirement Plans Solutions, LLC, a specialized training and consulting firm dedicated to helping the nation's leading financial organizations meet their diverse internal and external retirement needs.
Prior to joining Convergent Retirement Plans Solutions, LLC, Julie held various positions with Universal Pensions, Inc. (UPI), and later with BISYS Retirement Services.
During her nine-year tenure with UPI and BISYS Retirement Services, Julie developed educational resource materials for educational programs, such as IRA institutes and national seminar tours. She was also the subject matter expert for BISYS' e-learning system and web/telephone seminars. As a writer, Julie contributed to a variety of BISYS' publications, including authoring their compliance and operations manual on Health Savings Accounts. In a consultant role, Julie was an IRA consultant on the 800 consulting lines, which provided dedicated technical support to over 3,000 financial organizations. Julie addressed client technical questions surrounding Traditional and Roth IRAs, Simplified Employee Pension plans, Savings Incentive Match Plans for Employees of Small Employers (SIMPLE) IRAs, Coverdell Education Savings Accounts and Health Savings Accounts. In addition, Julie was also a seminar instructor, teaching basic and advanced topics on IRAs, Coverdell Education Accounts and Health Savings Accounts for BISYS seminar tours, as well as seminars for associations and specific financial organizations upon request.
Julie is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter , Minnesota . She also holds the Certified IRA Services Professional (CISP) designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers. Julie currently lives in Brainerd , Minnesota with her husband, son and daughter, where they enjoy the outdoors and a variety of sporting events.
