Jean Barton is a senior advisory board member for Convergent Retirement Plan Solutions, LLC.

A seasoned retirement industry veteran, Jean graciously shares her time and talents with Convergent 's executive management team. Participating regularly in Convergent 's strategic development meetings, Jean provides industry insight and guidance regarding Convergent 's overall market strategy as well as the ongoing evolution of the company's comprehensive suite of retirement products and services.

Jean has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. Most recently she was vice president, eastern divisional sales manager for Prudential Financial, responsible for the management of fifteen regional vice presidents supporting the sale of variable annuities in the wirehouse channel for states east of the Mississippi River .

Prior to joining Prudential, Jean was vice president, national sales manager for MassMutual Financial Group where she was responsible for the career and independent channels, selling both fixed and variable annuities.

Jean was also national sales manager, qualified plans with the firm of Phoenix , Duff & Phelps.

Jean is known in the industry for numerous contributions, including speaking engagements for the American Bar Association, the National Association of Veterinarians, and the International Association of Financial Planners, to name a few.

Jean holds National Association of Securities Dealers General Securities (series 7); General Securities Principal (series 24); Variable products (series 6); Direct Participation Programs (series 22); Uniform Securities Agent (series 63) and Life licenses.

She resides in Avon , Connecticut with her husband Dale and their three Labrador Retrievers. She is also an active member of Hartford Hospital Auxiliary and the Avon Volunteer Fire Department's Fire Police.
